For years, I had been in search for a place where I could enjoy a perfect cup of black coffee. A simple, yet deep-flavored brew that was at once fragrant yet mellow, like the ones I often had at coffee houses in Japan. But mostly what I came across in New York tasted sour...or burnt.

That cup was nowhere to be found. That’s when I decided to create my own blend, and source it from the masters in Japan. Little did I know, this would become beginning of our coffee making journey. And to my delight, my friends loved the finished coffee.
